Submitted films from around the world are screened during the week of the International UFO Congress convention. At the end of the week the winners of the 10 categories are announced. The winners are awarded a unique statuette similar to an Oscar but with definite alien characteristics.
On Saturday night six of the record 17 videos that entered in the film festival won EBE awards, and OUT OF THE BLUE, directed by James Fox, Tim Coleman and Boris Zubov was voted The People's Choice by the attendees. OUT OF THE BLUE also won Best UFO Documentary - Long Subject.
The International UFO Congress was founded in 1990. Their primary goal was to research, document and disseminate UFO related information worldwide. It was determined that one of the best ways to achieve that goal was to stage the very best UFO convention in the world. The EBE AWARDS & FILM FESTIVAL were initiated at the 2nd Annual conference, held in November of 1992.

Film Wins Two EBE Awards:

Out of the Blue won Best UFO Documentary as well as People's Choice Award at the International UFO Congress. EBE stands for Extraterrestrial Biological Entity. The most prestigious of the awards is The People's Choice Award. This award is voted on at the banquet by the attendees - and represents the film that the group believes to be the best of all the entries.

Co-Executive Producer Tim Coleman is there to accept the statuettes.
